Trunk Light

Well I finally got my parasitic drain fixed, wound up being the key cylinder switch in the trunk for the security system.

I would like to get my trunk light working since it hasnt been for about 5 years now. Right now it wont turn off when the trunk lid is closed. I bought a used switch from someone on here, and still wont turn off. Its the switch thats part of the latch on the actually lid, tiny little toggle switch on it. If I play with the toggle, it doenst turn off.

If I unplugg the switch the bulb turns off, because there a break in the curcuit.

Where should I go from here ?

Personally I would go with two faulty switches. Check continuity with a multimeter on the two switches, but you'll probably not see the circuit break when pushing the switch.

You think that both of the switched are faulty ?

Kinda weird but if you play with the switch that turns the light off, the light doesnt turn off, but if you close the trunk, and look through the back seat section, the light actually turns off.

My guess is that is has to ground against the body of the lock to complete the curcuit...either way, im good to go.

Thanks
