1 PC R34 Headlights - Chrome vs. Black

Hi guys,

I've begun to think about doing a projector retro into a set of R34s, but on eBay, there are two kinds: black + chrome, and all chrome.

I'd like to see people's opinions on these, including any differences in lighting output (not as big of a deal because I'll be retroing them), fitment, and looks.

The color of my car is BN6, which, if you can't tell from my sig picture, is dark blue with a hint of purple.

Which would look better on my car?

Thanks!

yeah... chrome, like the ones that come on the car, are ricey. gimme a break.

i say, if you have to go r34, retro'ed chrome is the only way to go. on the flip side, i haven't personally touched r34s (and never will) but black is usually easier to work with cause you can just paint everything black when you're done.

With your color car, I think the black R34's would look the best on your max IMO.

I currently own black r34's but I still think there's just something I dont like about them. Can't put my finger on what it is tho. Maybe i'll make the corners black too? Definitely pair them up with some black bumper lights tho.

imo both would look good with your color. black would look more agressive though - like a ninja or something

Hey, if you're doing it yourself, get black, use some sort of good plastic primer, and spray paint it the same color as the body of the car.

Hmm...the overwhelming majority says black, which is what I was leaning toward anyway.

Also, I like ninjas, so Black it is!

Not really a fan of tinted tails though, not my style. However, I did make some red/clears recently, I just haven't put up a new sig pic.
