Steering Wheel Lock/Key Broken in Ignition

I haven't visited this site in forever, but I used to be here frequently.

Anyways, over the time, I have let my Maxima slowly widdle away.

Awhile back, a key broke in the door.. I did not even mess with it and began using the spare. I made a copy of the spare. It does not work.

Now the key just broke in the ignition. If I put the other half in the ignition, it starts beeping and lights up, but the steering wheel is locked in place so they key won't hurt.

Any ideas?

Thanks..

Er the key won't turn because the steering wheel is locked.. it still beeps and lights up.

I prob won't mess with a new ignition. The car is pretty much just a beater now.

im assuming you have tried to jiggle the steering wheel to get the key to turn..if so and its not workin my 2sense is go to a push button start if you can wire it up
