95/96 clear/red tail lights
Ok after getting an email regarding my last post I decided to come here and read it. After the last group I did and the hassles involved I don't have the patience to deal with it anymore so I am no longer doing any tail lights.
Doing ONE set is fairly easy try doing them in quantity then getting them packed and shipped while having a full time job and then you'll see how easy it is. I don't ship like some people do by sending them in the box that the clears came in with no packing what I do is send them in a new box with the appropriate packing to prevent damage to them. Then add in the materials and time I spent to actually do a set and that's why I charge what I charge. My prices have actually dropped from what I was charging way back, and I have been a member of this board more ALOT longer than most of the people here realize, but the quality of the product has gotten better with each set. My prices have gone up only because of what I have to deal with now, I won't bother to go into detail about some people that I've had to deal with but that's only part of it. Some people have actually paid someone else more for a pair of lights only to end up getting another set from me. Except for the occasionaly post about a group deal for my lights I've never bombarded the board with posts about them it's been through word of mouth from my customers that they've sold. For those that say I can do them at no charge all you have to do is cover shipping. Did you take into consideration what happens if you accidentally damage something? Are you going to cover the price of the lights? That's the last of what I have to say regarding this and I thank the people that have supported me one way or another time after time. Please don't email me regarding tail lights it will not be replied to.
I've seen this board decline over the years alot of people don't realize what this board has lost, one example is the people that moderate the forums. While I personally may not agree all the time with them if they didn't have to babysit everyone on this board and consistantly defend their actions you'd see that they contain a wealth of knowledge and are great people to talk with.

I was just going to send an e-mail to DavidL to get my red/clears!
And now, he's not doing it anymore?
SprintMax, you think he might consider it if I give him all the time in the world? I've got a beater car, and I don't mind waiting for the tailights. A couple of months wait is fine by me.
*sigh* ... $75 might be a lot to some, and is alot to me too, but I cannot do it myself, and I understand the liability he has should he screw something up ...
David L, if you're reading this, let me know if you'll consider doing just one more. I'M SERIOUS!!! Let me know how you want it shipped, how you want the $$$ (paypal, etc) and I'm in. I just PM'd Erik (tifosiv122) about your red/clears and he recommended them too and I'd defintely prefer paying you the $$$ then buying some cheap a** tailight and regret it later!!!
Let me know pls ... avash@hotmail.com

Why do you guys have a problem paying for quality? Why did you buy a Maxima when you could have gotten some other V6 (Hyundai Sonata, Saturn LS) for less money. Hopefully because you like the look of the maxima better and it's been named of the top engines almost every year last decade. Bottom line, you pay for quality.

Re: 95/96 clear/red tail lights
David, I have never met you but I'm sure you're a great guy. Everyone here seems to have a lot of respect for you and they like you and I strongly trust the opinion of my fellow .org members. However(and I mean NO offense by this in any way), from what I have seen from this post and the deleting of your last post, is you seem to be acting like a poor sport. A few people comment on the $75 price being a little high and you have to delete the entire thread and then write a new one saying your quiting? What's that all about dude? Why do you care what people say? Why would that change your course of action? For example, I'm sure I'm going to get pummeled for typing this post but do I care? Anyway, what bothered me the most, and thus the reason I am even replying here, is your deleting of the last thread when I had offered to paint my friend's/fellow .org members lights for free. If you are calling it quits then I would think you would be more than happy that people can still get their lights painted. Why should that bother you? I am in no way trying to replace you. I quite honestly don't posess the skills to take the lights apart and put them back together. I just feel that I have gotten fairy good at painting the OUTSIDE and I want to help out my friend's who might not have $75. That's all. I meant no threat to you/ your service. I only extended the offer because I saw that you said you were going to stop. Why would you delete a thread where I offer to help our fellow .org memebers out - especially when you won't be offering your services any longer? That's where I'm lost. Anyway, that's all I have to say. My offer still stands to those of you who would like their taillights painted. Just give me an e-mail. David, I meant no disrespect or offense by this reply. Good luck to you. I'm sure your awesome services will be missed.

Is it just me, or did most of the people who complained on the deleted DavidL post not have a 95-96?
This stinks, I sure wish DavidL would re-consider but I guess not
Well David, if ever your hands get itchy and you long to put some tailights in the oven, pjalst and I (pocketrocket) are probably two you can get in touch with 'k?
Was thinkin' of e-mailing him but I figured he made it pretty clear he wasn't going to reply to e-mails, so hopefully he checks out the forum some time.
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away .....
