AGX/H&R vs. AGX/Stock vs. Stock/Stock Ride quality?
AGX/H&R vs. AGX/Stock vs. Stock/Stock Ride quality?
I have a stock SE suspension on my car. The ride quality is good but the handling is fair. I'm thinking of either AGX/H&R combo or AGX/SE springs combo. I'm just wondering how much in ride quality am I giving up by going with AGX shocks and if H&R will add a lot more to the harshness. Car has FSTb, RSB and 16" stock wheels. Anyone who has experience with any two of these combos.
Thanks
Anton

I'm not sure if I'll really help, but njmaxseltd told me about the differences, since I was also interested.
He switched back to SE springs, after testing the AGXs with his H&Rs. He's a very satisfied man right now, with maximum ride quality and ultra tight handling.
I'm pretty sure the ride quality is minimal though. I really look at my wheel gap a lot, and personally, I'd go with H&Rs.
But since you're a man of quality and luxury, stick with your SEs. You'll be very happy.
Hopefully, someone can elaborate on this subject. Later Anton

I'll be happy to elaborate -- Stay with you stock springs and get the AGX's. The ride is nothing short of AWSOME! My car rides smooth, tight, and quiet. It's a better ride then it had when I baught it new and handles 10 times better. Your not giving up any ride quality going this route, your improving it!
The settings I've been playing with are as follows:
#1 in the front and #3 in the rear -- This is the best combo for ultra tight smooth highway driving.
#2 in the front and #4 in the rear -- This is the sport setting, the car is very tight! You can autocross with the setup this way.
I highly recommend sticking with stock springs unless you want to change the way your car looks. (gap)
After I took my H&R's out and installed the AGX's on stock springs, I am a VERY HAPPY MAXIMA OWNER!

Quick side to side movement is nice and tight. The steering wheel feels tighter and more responsive. Also you don't "feel" any bumps in the steering wheel as you go over them. I'm telling you this setup is AWSOME!
Throw the Tokicos in the garbage, they aren't worth it!
