Got my new headlights on the other day and decided to take some pictures. only got a couple of good ones as it started to get dark, i'll try and take more tomorrow. they are e46 bixenon BMW (3 series) projectors (4300k, DS2 ballsts) with 3" valeo high beams in the one piece R34 housing. i haven't adjusted the beam pattern yet (one is sitting slightly higher than the other because of the way i had to bolt them down) but when i do i'll post some pictures.

Much thanks to the person that retrofit these (maxgtr2000). Andrew is the man when it comes to retrofits. Very helpful and excellent quality work.
not a problem. lol. But what about the 4 projector question? Did maxgtr2000 wire up the bi-xenon? And also... what about the cost? If you don't mind me asking...

both sets are projection lights but different (being that the outside set are bi-xenon and the inside aren't). maxgtr2000 did make the harness for the bi-xenon along with the retrofit. he sent me the headlights with the harness after he retrofit them and i put them on the max. it just depends on the cost. i can't remember what exactly i paid for mine, but i remember i got a great deal on the bmw bi-xenon projectors off of ebay and that's why i went with them. my setup cost more because i also bought the R34 one piece headlights (i like the way they look with the setup i have). i'm not too sure if you can do the dual headlights in the stock housing or not. you should be able to but i'm not for sure. here are a couple of links to give you an idea of the cost, you may be able to find a better deal...

i think you'd still have to buy the ballasts and shrouds but this should help you. pm andrew (maxgtr2000) and tell him what you want. if you want your retrofit done right then he's the guy to talk to. he's been doing them for a while now.

here's a closeup of the headlight from the same day as the others. sorry for the glare, it's kind of a bad picture (i'll take a better one soon) which is why i didn't post it in the first place but here you go...

Those look like the ACE caps on a simple shroud bowl, not too bad. Output pics would be great.

finally got pictures of the output. sorry it took so long.

here's the cutoff. for some reason it's difficult to capture the true color of the light on the "against the wall" pics.

looking at the headlights with both highbeams on...

cutoff further back. (i know they still need to be adjusted)

i love the colors in the light of this pic...

and this one...

it's been a while since i bought the parts. like i said before, i put in more $ because i bought the R34 headlights. alot of people just clean up the ones they have and use them. Just depends on how much you want to put into it.

Looks good man.

Definitely something different to go for the all chrome R34s with black shrouds and chrome rings. I was running that for a few weeks in the summer, but it wasn't working out for me since I didn't really have any other chrome. But you pulled it off, dude.

As 4DRSpeed said, welcome to the club!

E46 is a good choice. Not the best projector around, but they have a ton of bang-for-the-buck and are kinda under-rated IMO. Output shots look good.

Do you have a photo of the highbeams? I'm curious to what kind of beam pattern the Valeo H7 highs have. BTW, if you need even more highbeam light, Osram makes a kickass 65w H7 called the "Hyper" which is a lot brighter than a normal 55w H7.

Thanks man. No, no pics of the high beams. I need to get some though. I'll have to look into the Osram.

UGH! YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! WHAT IS WRONG WITH NEWBS IN HERE!!!

Please do us both a favor and search. If by "this" you mean his retrofit in the aftermarket R34 housings, you can't just ORDER them. You have to have them custom made by someone who is experienced in the art of retrofitting! Do a little searching and you'll learn a lot! Not to mention it keeps us from reading old threads you decided to bump...

Ebay for the lights, and theretrofitsource.com are a great place to start for parts.

NOW... GO SEARCH...
