Squeaking suspension, weird oil smell, and knocking when i have defroster on

ok, first problem, im riding on sprint springs and kyb-agx, when im driving around bumpy roads when i go over the little bumps etc, i hear squeaking... what could this be?

second problem, weird oil smell, sometimes when i drive around and its hot, i can smell oil and metal, it seems like its coming from the passenger side area of the engine, sometimes i can see smoke coming out of the hood but when i go to check i dont see any leaks or anything

third problem, when i have the AC set to defrost or anything other than blowing to the face, i hear this constant knocking sound, it kind of goes like "tick tick tick tick pause tick tick tick tick pause" whats going on here?

thanks guys!

1. The squeaking could be bushings, or could be the spring against the strut.

2. How is your rear valve cover gasket? It could be leaking down onto the manifold.

3. Could be a stripped out gear for one of the blend doors.

1. yeah you know the little rubber thing that goes on top of the spring? well when i got the springs they didnt come with em, so do you think that's why?

2. im not sure how it is... how can i check?, if its leaking what parts do i need to replace it?

3. ohh, how would i replace the gear for the blend doors?

1. Very well could be, yes. Install new spring isolators and your noise will most likely go away. The rubber is there for a reason, metal on metal contact...makes noises. Not to mention abnormal wear.

2. Well, you look back there to see whether or not it's leaking. If it's leaking, you replace the gasket.

3. Well it's not a definite that it's even that. First you'll have to narrow down exactly where the noise is coming from.

1. alright thanks!, ill look into getting spring isolators

2. alright ill take a look at them today, where would the rear valve cover gasket be located? thanks again!

3. its coming from the steering wheel area and its when ever i put it on any setting except for blowing to the face even if its not turned on
