Backup Projectors.. Stock Wiring?

Anyone know if the stock back up light wiring will handle a set of projectors I noticed that a set of mini projector fogs will fit perfectly into the reflector housing on my G2 tails and am curious if I could simply drop them an and connect them to the stock wiring.

Projectors don't use power. Bulbs do...

So as long as the bulb isn't exceeding the stock bulb rating you should be fine

Isnt the stock bulb rating like 13w? Kind of defeats the point of putting in projectors if I cant at least get 25w-35w out of them.

Maybe some of those 48 smt boards would be a better option.. I just think a silver set of projectors would work better and look better as well.

Then grab a relay and run your own power wire.

Wow ... Ilya I like that! Are those mounted in the stock housing? Using the stock connector?

to the OP, if you want to run brighter back up lights, why not go with the 921's? If you are talking about mounting a pair of projectors inside the brake light housing, it might be a tight fit.

Nah those are definitely hot...but those people not looking to spend a couple hundred...I recommend 921 LED bulbs from V-Leds.com.

I havent tried them.. but I know I need something much brighter to see out of my tint. I have 55 watt projectors on the back of my pickup and I love it.

I'm tired of backing up while hanging out of the window

Yeah.. I would say so lol. I have LED altezza's and if you look at a set.. they have large round reflector dishes for the back ups that will perfectly fit a projector. I havent bought any projectors yet.. still looking at different models. I dont really want to use black ones.. hoping with a bit of google magic I can find some with chrome housings that will match the tails.

Has anyone done a LED board for the front side markers? Every bulb I have tried looks like shiz and there isnt enough room to go bigger with the bulb size. I found some cheap 12v amber boards on ebay that look like they will fit.. I just dont know if I can oven heat the clear corners and get them open to install the boards.

Kzoosho does those too.

He does everything (headlights, tails, bumper lights, side markers, etc.)
