Have a dumb suspension question

And no I didn't see it in the how to pages etc.

So when I'm checking the bushing in the suspension for play to see if they are worn, I guessing I get the car on stands, turn the steering to lock and see if I can twist, etc. the wheel, right?

In addition, does it matter if the car is on or off? And I'm assuming I need to make sure that the steering wheel is locked to isolate the play if there is any. I just want to get an idea of how one shoule do this correctly. And finally, if there is a thread you know of that covers this please link it or point me in the right direction in the search as I could not find it.

I dont know what bushings u are talking about. But what u said above, movin the wheel left and right checks your tie rods, movin the wheel up and down checks the balljoints. If you are talking about the sway bar end links, take the wheel off and inspect it visually.
Its the little thing attached to your sway bar end and your steering arm, easy to diy.
