i was just driving by my work and saw a max for sale.. stop by its a 97 black on black with 220k...
i called the guys he said he wants $700 for it bc has a bad clutch... he also said hes got no title... i said what happen he said the guy lost it.... question for you guys is it worth getting this max..... i only really need the black interior i have a max but with tan and want to switch it........and how should i verify if its stole or how can i get the title for it.. i was thinking writing down the VIN get a carfax report and call the DMV with the VIN to see what they say........????

he can apply for a duplicate title. If you won't be able to get the title then its basically a parts only car but if its in descent shape, $700 is not bad, you can probably sell some other parts off of it and then just scrap it.

I would buy the car and then post what leftover parts you haven't used, i could easily double or evn triple my profit from parting it out. Let us know what you decide 'cause i could use some parts from it.

get him down to 550.. no title.. 220K.. bad clutch.. tell him 550 since you have to replace the clutch.. and no title.. and then sell the car for what you paid for it.. after you find out the history.. you swap interiors for nothing

I would...
1st make sure its not stolen.
Then talk the seller down on price.
Buy the car.
Apply for another title.
Swap interiors.
Either part out the rest of the car or just resell it.
Thats just me though.
