Hi guys,
I'm from Australia but we share the same engine and probably weight in our maximas. I drive a standard 95 auto which i recently got from my dad, i have been testing it and i love the car. Is it normal however for the standard car to light up the wheels when i plant my foot, i mean leave seriouse, long rubber marks!!!!! (from an auto)???????? the car has no problems it hauls *** i'm just amazed.

its weird... I had a 94 TBIRD with a huge V8 with *gobs* of torque (gonna miss that torque) anyhow, rarely could i get it to spin or even chirp the tires from a straight start... I could spin the **** out of them going around a turn or if the road was barely wet... but eh.
My friend had an 89 Grand Prix, I think with like a 3.8L engine... he could floor it at a stop sign or whatever and burn rubber like mad, yet it didnt feel like that quick a car, cuz we raced a few times and I beat him everytime

That's FWD for ya

When you floor it in a FWD car, the weight of the car quickly shifts back off the front tires, making it easy to spin the tires. The same effect makes it harder to do in a RWD car of similar power.

Yes and no.. yes it's got enough power to light it up... but no it's should leave that much rubber. USually this is an indication of poor performing tires.

Indeed, I dunno about leavin tons of rubber on the ground type of peal out unless it's real wet outside and you have no traction. Even then you wouldn't leave much at all.

Is that 195 in width? If so you know you in the states we get atleast 215... that's one of your problems, the other is the continentals.

G'day. A lot of us in the States are running 225/50/16's on 16 x 7.5" rims or 235/45/17's on 17 x 8" rims. Good luck.

I've got Continental CH95...they're not bad at all...wet or dry. I have yet to see how they perform in the snow...
