Then you couldve waited longer than 5 minutes for a response.

Posted in the other thread you made.

Read in the All Motor sub-forum.

Read, read, read. Then read some more.

Why would you want to do that? I'm sure it's pretty hard to find a decent VQ35DE from a 7th gen at a decent price. Why not use a VQ35 from a 5.5 gen since there are is a lot more information on the swap plus it's probably easier to find an engine at a decent price. But since it is probably the same engine, i don't see why it wouldn't be possible. It'd just take a little technical knowledge to figure out the wiring and stuff

*Edit* ^ Was your sig done on perpous or was it a coincidence? Cause the black max can't park... Either way it's pretty cool...

This is what I came up with -1 minute of searching...

Wikipedia... 09 Maxima has the same VQ35DE but it's mated to a CVT.
After a 10 sec browse of the forums I see that VQ35s fit into our 4th gens, but this is where you run into trouble, you have to use more than 2 calories of energy to search the forums for VQ35 swaps. I will save you half of the trouble and since I read up a lil on the subject I'll save you some time and beg of you to go to the A-M forum (all motor)

Not ALL VQ35s fit in the maxima, I know for sure the RWD VQ35s won't fit w/o a major pita modification to the engine mounts which are different (there's a thread on that...) than the FWD VQs.
Where your question lies is here... What are the improvements to the latest FWD VQ35, Can I just steal a VQ35 from a 5th gen and put the improvements from a 09 into a 02/03? or are the mounts the same so you can just do the same procedure that is required for swapping the 5th gens in...
since the latest VQ35 is only made for a CVT I think that the mounts would be different but I don't know too much about engine swaps, but I think that's a good starting point for you to SEARCH the 5th gen and A-M forums. If those two questions aren't answered then well goto the A-M and post away...

No, it doesn't.

You need to learn how to search!.

If you continue as you are, you're going to get this same exact response in every dumbass thread you make.

Hybrid swap, sure. With some swapping out of parts, and some customization.

You know why your other thread got locked? Because you don't know how to search.

Long story short:

I just completely fail to comprehend the inability to use a search button.

It's like the guy that posted in the Maintenance thread last night...it's like reading comprehension has just gone down the drain these days, since the thread title itself says 'Do not post questions here'.

Some days, I just feel like giving up.
