Indeed.

Searching would've yielded this response, much quicker than the 19 minute wait time here.

I searched

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...eneration.html
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ss-remote.html
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...e-4th-gen.html
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ry-remote.html
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...yfob-95-a.html
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...h-gen-max.html

And the two most relevant:
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...k-4th-gen.html
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...b-4th-gen.html

Different frequency, IIRC.

No, next time you'll actually search.

If you PM me with a question that is found through search, don't expect a response.

And for some reason that means that you shouldn't search?

There's some logic.

There is a reason why he is "mad good at it"

The only way you will learn anything is by doing the leg work yourself

You've got to be joking. I can't even find the appropriate emoticon/smilie face for that one.

On a side note, I was actually about to see if anyone on here knows what supplier makes these folding keys. Personally I really really like this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-F...%3A1|72%3A1171

I sent the Ebay seller a message asking them about this. I'll post back if I ever find anything out. It might be kinda cool to see if they can make one for the 4th gen remote and maybe get a group buy going?

What makes the key unusable? would it be the BCM or the ecu, or both? If it was the bcm, could you swap in a 5th gen bcm and it would work, or do we not have an answer for that?

It would be pointless to swap the BCM. WAY too much work. Just find a remote...
