I did this mod a couple years ago but at the same time I rewired the corner and the bumper lights so that now the corner light (w/ amber bulb) is my blinker and the bumper light (clear lens w/ clear bulb) comes on with the parking lights. I have been using these as DRLs so they are on ALL the time, day and night. When I went to replace the bulbs I noticed that the top of the housing was getting brittle and starting to crack. My first reaction was cheap ebay product but after some more thought I realized the plastic was not designed for this light to be on all the time and the heat was breaking it down. I am now in the process of installing LEDs but I want to use a switch to turn the DRLs on and off. I would like to use an extra Cruise Control switch but I am having problems figuring out the wiring.
Anyway, the point here is go with LEDs, they run way cooler and will last longer. You wont have problems with bulbs or housings.

The other day I was changing my tire with a hammer and smashed my pinky finger and crushed the vertabrae in it, you know the vertebrae in you pinky finger. So now my hip hurts and I have to see a speech therapist. I just thought everyone should know.
