Eyelids Installed

I bought the eyelids that Greg is selling on custommaxima.com (made by Sarona Designs) and painted them to match my black Max with some clearcoat. They look phat as hell!! They were a pain in the a** to install because I had to shave off the little nub on the headlight with a Dremmel, and the glue was a little messy. Once I was done and closed the hood DAMN, gave my Max a whole new look. They look like they were meant to be there. Sorry I dont have any pics to post yet, Ill post them as soon as I take some, but I wanted to let you all know that if you were thinking about getting them, go for it. Makes the whole front end look more aggressive, and they look much better than the home made ones because the inside corners curve down and mold to the headlight.

Was It Hard To Install

I would love to get the eyelips for my Max, but they haveto match your paint color right? Is that a pain to do or what. I have a sage mist green 95 max. How much would it cost to get them painted. Because thats the only thing stopping me from buying them.

Am..... quick question, once these are glued on how do you change your.....

Bulbs in the park lamps. You know the lamps next to the headlamps. How do you change those bulbs if you've got a strip of plastic glued onto your head lights and corner lamps. Just curious. I think these are really cool and I want them but I need to know whats gonna happen if I need to change my bulbs.

New forum rule ... no posting up new mods unless you have pics.

j/k ... but it's not nice teasing other members when you don't got pics.

heheh I was a dummy and didn't think about the fact the parking lights are so easy to take off.... I actually reached in from the inside of the engine bay and twisted the socket out with 2 fingers.. it was a pain on the right side, you barely have enough room to stick your hand in there, but it is possible.. if anything ask a female with smaller hands to help you...

I want to see pics!!!

Man I can't wait to see what they look like. Did you buy the paint from Nissan directly? Are you gonna post pics soon?

I never even knew that you had to take the corners off. I always just took out the bulbs while they were still on the car. Kind of a tight fit, but not that bad.

Actually I went to Home Depot and bought Rustoleum Glossy Black spray paint and a can of clear coat spray paint. I primed them, sanded, put 3 coats of black on, then three coats of clear on. They match my black Max's body PERFECTLY. I'm waiting to borrow my sister's digital camera, should have pics in a day or two I hope. Its crunch time at college with finals coming up and papers due like crazy so Ill post ASAP.

i noticed that the passenger side can be done either way - by taking the whole assembly out or just changing bulb. the drivers side is a b*cth i cant seem to pull out the light so it takes me like 15mins to change the bulb from the inside.
