A couple issues

I'm having some trouble with my maxima, my key fob is no longer locking or unlocking the car (yes, I changed the battery). Also, whenever I go to use the windshield wiper fluid, it does nothing, though the resevoir is filled, I don't know if these issues are related at all, but any insight into what may be wrong, and how to fix it would be appreciated, thanks!

Your BCM may be bad. Do all of your lights work (interior)?

Do you hear the washer pump?

Check the connector, make sure it hasn't come disconnected somehow. There is a fuse for it, but if your wipers work then that'll be fine.

As Ilyak said, the BCM is responsible for these two items (keyless entry and washer motor).

BCM == Body Control Module.

try to program your fob again. that might work. at least it will not work and it will only take you 10 seconds

I have two key fobs that I got with my car. One died within a few months, so I switched to the other one. I took apart the first fob earlier this year, but there does not appear to be anything simple to fix (such as a dirty switch), so I think the electronics are fried. On a replacement -- you would likely have to work with an authorized parts source.

I bought a new fob for my car on Ebay for $40. They are easy to program.
