maxima not cranking
Thank you, I wanted to go that way!. But when I did the electrical test with a light probe. I stick the probe into the feed wire that connects to the grey wire on the solenoid. As I turn the key to start I saw the probe LIGHT-UP. So it was my conclusion I am getting power. Do you think in regards to this evidence I still need to change it.
I've actually installed a new starter from either advance auto or autozone that worked the first day but stopped working after that. I brought it back and they tested it on their bench as good. I still requested they give me a replacement (was a gold line unit so probably autozone?) and that one worked out.
In short, the bench test probably doesn't address all potential issues with a starter.
Just my $0.02..

Since you tested the positive routes, I'm wondering if it's on the negative side that there's a gap/disconnect somehow? And the starter is BOLTED to the engine. Maybe back to the ignition side. Ground breakdown in the column?

You might want to attach a test wire to the positive terminal of the battery. Then touch that wire to the solenoid contact on the starter.
The starter might crank as it should. That would indicate that the battery and starter are healthy. Also that the problem is most likely the ignition switch
