Can't get the hazard light to illuminate ... ??

So I am a little stickler when it comes to interior lights all glowing. In my max all the interior lights illuminate with the exception of the hazard light. It works normally when you engage them (hazards work). However it does not illuminate. (when you turn the lights, as well as when you engage it {red color}).

So far;

1. tried 3 different hazard swithces (all same result)
2. Made sure that the fuse was good (plus changed out the fuse)

Any comments ... thank you

Replace the blub inside the switch. There are two of them, make sure you get the right one. You can pick up a replacement at Radio Shack. Seems the hazard button is among the first lights to die, so I'm not suprised if your used switches didn't work either.

Hrm ... 2 of them??? Where is the 2nd one?

I found 1 of them ... there is a red little rubber piece. Then there is a white plastic piece (light bulb goes inside), then there is a (1) small little light bulb with 2 wires sticking out, I'm assuming that is what I need??

So where is the 2nd one again?

12 volt

though voltage in a car will fluctuate while accelerating up to around 15 volts. For your purpose tell him its for a car and its 12 volt.

yup, behind all that stuff, the hazard button, the AC buttons. All mine went out so I put in LEDs. Now my girlfriend's went out after a radio install.

I just replaced mine a few weeks ago. I never knew there was a bulb in there either! (Either buttons the emergency or defrost!)

For all of those that replaced the light bulb ....

1. So I opened the hazard switch, inside it I saw a red plastic cover (covering the light bulb), and the light bulb sits in a white plastic piece. The light bulb has 2 wires running out of it.

2. So I went to Radioshack, and boght the same light bulb, the only thing is the 2 wires were much longer then on the original. Anyhow, I put the 2 wires through the white plastic piece, and then cut the remaining length. But I don't think I did it right.
I am not sure how to assemble the wires. (where/what to pry)

Thank you!

You need to separate the switch from the bezel and then take the switch apart. There will be tabs to undo them just be easy.
