sensor questions
ok so i went out to day trying to track down some more power and my missfire. on the TPS the book says .5k ohm at idle and 4.0k at WOT. if i set it at .5 at idle WOT is 3.86. it i set it at 4.0k at WOT idle is .83 WTF?? so i adjusted it to read 4.0k at WOT and thought i would just deal with a slighty poor idle was i right by doing that?
another tps problem i think is in gear anywhere above idle and past about 30% throttle the car has a random miss fire. as long as i drive with less than 30% throttle the car runs strong like it should. while i had the probe in the tps i slowly open the throttle and the numbers seemed to climb as they should. other than me not being able to get the right numbers at idle and WOT from the tps it seems good or is that enough to call the tps bad?
the miss fire above 30% seems like it might be blowing the spark out of the spark plugs but i have never heard or it doing that on a N/A car before? i know my girls Bonneville will do it if the gap is to big in the plugs but then again she has a blower on it my Lincoln also did it but only when it was on the spray. i have read a few posts about polishing the contact on the coils and fixing problems like this so i plan on doing that tomorrow but if anyone might have any other insight on it please chime in.

ok so i think i might have failed hard in my injector selection? i could not find any VQ30s in the junks. all i could find was a 98 and a 96 sentra the injecters looked the same so i snatched all 4 from the 98 just incase one was bad i would have a back up. i did not even think to check because i know most other injectors are color coded. like a ford blue top injecter out of any ford will work in the place or any other blue top ford injector yadda yadda.. so i look at this sentra and see red top injectors that look just like mine so i get them and put one in and the car runs better. i now have the miss as stated above so i start checking. a few oc the companys that sell new injectors say the maximas and 91-99 sentras use the same injecters other companys say they don't. so im in a pickle here do i have the right injectors here or don't i?

i have not checked for codes in a little while but last time i did all i had was a KS code even with the bad injector. kinda annoying my CEL dont work so i have to go to auto zone or advance to get it scanned. then since i have a 95 and most cars in 95 did not have OBD2 i have to argue with the know it alls there that their scanner will work with my car.

polished coils today and fixed 85% or the prob. i did not have any metal polish here so i used Q-tips and tooth paste and it worked fine. i also used a nail file and filed where they contact the coil and the spark plug.e ends of the springs.

I think when you have any miss fire it usually is you coils. I had the same problem so I took it to the stealership and they told me I had a bad coil on cylinder #3. so I went ahead and changed all the coils and BAM, everything was back to normal.
