I'll need to change mine soon too....sounds like this is the route I will go too. DO NOT go to a stealership or auto parts store....RIP OFF!!!!!!! $120+ from these guys.

Aww man ....www.google.com

Its very important and should be changed. There is an entire thread dedicated to the importance of KS. There is also a how-to thread w/ instructions for how to easily replace the KS.

Why pay 25$, and replace multiple times, when you can do it for $100 and replace it once? Do it right once or don't do it. Same can be said for any repair.

price doesn't mean quality ... maybe the OEM will last longer (and it's not 100$) , but how much time do you think you'll keep your 96 or 97 car ? 10 years ? cheap one will set you in for some time..............

I bought mine from ebay a year ago and it lasted a year. I just bought the resister from radioshack and installed it because I didnt want to deal with it again. The resisters were 5 for a dollar and had them overnighted for $15.
