Clearing tails without flourescent light cover?

I'm considering clearing my tails, but I think I would like the look of it better if instead of putting a flourescent light cover in to replace the amber I just put in nothing at all. If I do this, can I expect it to look something like tails on this max:

(Thanks to SYCEFIRO for the picture -- by the way, SWEET Max! ) Obviously, I'm not expecting the same shape.

Also, would it light fairly evenly? If not, is there anything I could do to make it do so (i.e. use LED bulbs)?

IMPOSSIBLE
Those are tail lights from an Infiniti I30.
You will need body work to make it fit and it will not make yyour trunk lights because the i30's is smaller. thats why he got a completly different trunk and quarter panel.

Oh, those are I30 lights. Got it. Anyway, I'm not trying to replace the actual light fixture. I'm just wondering if it would be possible to simply remove the amber piece in my tails and NOT replace it with anything for a look that's similar to SYCEFIRO's. Possible?

No because inside you will see the bulb and the fixture will look like a flat white or reflective chrome color I think. I will look nasty next to your reverse. Use the flouresent covers.

Forgot to mention that I'd also be taking out the covers from the reverse lights too.

Yes I've done this without the florescent cover. I think it looks better like this. You MUST clear all 4 lights in the rear for it to look right though. Whether you choose to clear out the red side marker piece is up to you, but if you also clear it out, I recommend you using 194 LED bulbs to replace.
