Coil pack issue maybe? im stumped

I have a p1320 code and a cylinder 4 misfire code for my 95 gle

i tried swapping out the coil pack...no rpms change..listened to the injectors and heard clicking...i swapped cylinder 4s coilpack for cylinder 2s and cylinder 4 still had no spark...i switched plug from cyl 4 to cyl 2 and cyl 2 to 4 and still misfiring bad.

any advice?

My bad.

When you swapped the good coil pack for the bad one, did you reset the computer to be certain???

The code will come back if the issue was not solved.

Have you tried switching the spark plugs too??

Most likely cause is faulty harness or connection according to the FSM, If you have an ohmmeter and know how to use it compare the signal wires of the faulty coil to the good ones.

P1320
The ignition signal in the primary circuit is not entered during engine cranking or running.
Harness or connectors (The ignition primary circuit is open or shorted.)

got an ohmmeter and tested the front 3 injectors and cly 2 & 6 test between 12 and 13 ohms and cyl 4 was in the mega ohms

If you did that correctly that would tend to mean a broken wire or bad connection to that cylinder. How did you take your measurements? Going home from work now, I'll check back later.

i used an ohmeter (autometer i suppose) and unplugged them from the harness and tested the two prongs

P1320 is the ignition primary.
This means the ECU detected that there was no current flowing through one or more ignition coil primary circuits. P1320 has nothing to do with the injectors.
Measuring in meaohms in an injector clearly indicates that the solenoid windin in that injector is bad. That must be causin your misfire, but that does not explain the 1320 code.
Test all individual ignition coils to see if any of them is open in the primary. Haynes manual explains which prongs to test on the ignition coils and the resistance ranges (they are different for different years
in the 4th gen).If they are fine, it should be the harness or a bad coil which fails when its heated up by the enine or when its cold.
Cyl 4 is the front injector, which should not be difficult to replace.

I have a few 99 Max coils (front and back) which I chaned recently. I now believe that my problem is not an ignition coil problem, atleast not the front coils . If you want one I can just give it to you.

While the car is running, unplug and plug back in, each coil pack. You'll find the one that's bad. No testing required. One of your coils IS bad. The CEL only fires/blinks when a massive misfire is detected.

When you unplug one and the car idles lower, that's a good coilpack.

When you unplug one and the car doesn't change idle, that's a bad coilpack.

Do them one by one.

Oh wait,
Are you sure disconnecting the coil while the car is running is not the thing that set the code (P1320)?

Do you still need the information about which terminals to test? I can post it in a few hours if you want.

Just changed out the injector and it fixed the problem...which was odd considering the ca threw a 1320 coilpack code and never an injector code

okay well it ran fine til last night (i replaced the injector that measured in the mega ohms). It started misfiring again last night and am praying its a coil pack but no codes were thrown last night.

It misfired for about a block then started running fine....i shut my car off to go into walmart, came back out and it started mis firing again. shut the engine off and started it back up and no misfire
