Maxima stalled out and failed to start after injector change.

Ive got a 1998 Maxima with the VQ30 in it with 245,000 miles. So I had an issue where one of my fuel injectors seized open and I changed it out with a Standard Ignition injector from O'Reilly's. After swapping injectors and cleaning the egr port the car started skipping pretty bad but I believed that it was just from excess fuel in the cylinder. Once I let it idle for a while it began to stall out and now it won't fire up. Starter still turns over and I've got spark but I'm at a loss as to what might be the issue.

I’m reading that, although not running well after the injector change, the car did start and run, correct?

If so, for how long a period did it run?

Point being, it may have run long enough for a DTC or two to have been generated and stored … check and see.

It ran for about 10 minutes and then stalled out and wouldn't start I plan to grab an OBD tool and check to see what codes may have been added.

You dont need an OBD tool to read the codes, follow these steps on the youtube video to get the codes. count the number of long and short flashes you see. then reference the guide that is stickied to the front page.

Codes were idle air control valve and swirl control valve. And now once the vehicle heats up to temperature, the car stalls and refuses to start.

With that many miles, so many gaskets and vacuum lines, along with the usual suspects, could all be the culprit.

I can't get my 99s Idle lower than 775 RPMs. NEW IACV Too! STILL looking for the vacuum leak after the whole intake refresh. I found the big one under the UIM where the gasket is hidden under it using a smoke machine I made,

But there's still more. DAMN!

Keep in mind that heat creates resistance in electrical components. Your noting that the car stalls once warmed is notable, to me anyway.

You should certainly address the DTCs you’ve found (if you haven’t already) and certainly don’t disregard the pointers Keith (KP11520) has provided, but also … and based on your specific symptom and more importantly the timing of your symptom … I’d encourage you to look into two things.

1) The adjustment and/or functionality of your throttle position sensor (TPS);

2) The same for your intake air temperature sensor (IATS).
