What is the difference between the engine mounts on a 96 before and after 02/1996. I called a parts store today looking for a front and pass. side mount and the guy asked if the car was manufactured before or after 02/1996.

They have the mounts for cars up to 02/1996 but not after. I was wondering if I could just use the pre 02/1996 ones?

 

Some Maximas, depending on the trim, have an electronically controlled front mount I dont know if that has anything to do with the date.

You mean the electric mounts? No, even my '95 had one in the front.

 

interested in finding this out, are mounts the same between auto & stick?

 

Some autos had electric mounts, some didn't. They'll all work in place of eachother, though.
