Fuel Injector cleaning kit (where to hook it up)

Hi,
I'd like to clean out my fuel injectors by buying those canisters that hook up to the fuel rail. (You hook it up, remove the fuel pump fuse, start-it up and wait till the can is empty).

I think run-rite had such a kit but can't seem to located it (still looking).

Here's my question, where would I hook this this up to, the top or bottom of the fuel filter? Or somewhere else?

Thanks...any other recommendation is welcomed (p.s. only directly attached fuel line, not crazy about gas additives)

Here's the product:

Okay got my own answer, it would need to hook-up with the fuel line that is coming out of the fuel filter.

Now there's another problem..I need a OTC fuel injection adapter so that the canister can hook up to using air pressure. Anyone know which adapter to get?

thanks

yup I did.

And I think still that the best way is to use a air pressure canister to unblock the injectors.

Also, you can't get chevron techron up here in Canada.

The local garage is going to charge me $100, might just get it done there.

Since using the stuff, I turned into a Chevron spokesman lol

Why u doing the cleaning? What problems u havin, or jus doing some preventative maintenance?

100 bucks seems a little steep for somethin that only gonna take an hr at the most.

It's just preventative maintenance. The car has 190,000kms and it was never done.

Yup, it's a tad expensive, but this is Montreal where taxes are 15% and payroll taxes are 46% and gas is at $1.10 a litre ($4 a gallon)...

I was going to do this myself but I don't know what kind of adapter I need to get to hook it up to the fuel line.

deadlydreamx: THANK YOU!

Yup it's a little different...do you still hook it up to the air compressor?

brake booster hose?
I have no idea where that is...can it still be hooked to the hose coming out of the fuel filter from the bottom?

nah you dont need air it works on vacuum. the silver cone thingy at the end of the line goes into a vacuum line and that sucks the fluid in the bottle little by little into the intake and it cleans ur manifold and injectors apparently. I did it to my car and i didnt really notice anything but then again my car is well maintained

Don't unhook the hose at the brake booster. The brake booster check valve cannot take any liquids. Unhook the hose to the left of the brake booster check valve (the tiny black plastic valve with a rubber boot).
