Best pace to purchase control arm kits??
Best pace to purchase control arm kits??
Hi all,
I am new to the max forums, and I just bought a 1995 GLE auto.
It's in dire need of front suspension work, and I have searched the stickies, but still have some questions.
Saw some control arm kits on ebay....Im looking to keep this stock, so no need for performance suspension stuff
Anybody have experience with any good sellers for control arm kits...also need the strut mounts (KYB or Moogs)....anyone sell a kit with ALL the components, I know there are several parts to them?
Thanks in advance......
PS- Im on a slight budget so any tips on keeping the costs down, or where to get deals is MUCHO APPRECIATED!!

Get the MEVOTECH Part # MS20460 & 61 from rockauto.com. I have them on my car and after 40k miles I have no problems at all.
Snomax arms are to much money for someone on a budget.

energy suspension makes a polyurethane kit that includes all of those bushings. i know you mentioned you want to keep the suspension as stock as possible, and may not want to replace the bushings at all, but every 10 years, your bushings should be inspected/replaced anyway. and if your replacing a pair of control arms and strut mount, you should just replace them all.
Totally agreed about replacing all the bushings....I apologize in my first post, I didn't specify that the kit I am looking at contains all the bushings on the bottomfront end.

I have had issues in the past with cheapy suspension parts that blow in 6-12mo and you end up having to do the job all over again. I am a complete DIY, but that just annoys me. I was hoping some of you may have bought one of these KITs and could speak for its quality or lack there of.....Thanks again for all the good info

Do NOT buy control arms or ball joints from eBay. The quality is poor, you will regret unless you get rid of your car shortly. The control arms especially are heavy parts that you do not want to pay to ship back to the typical eBay auto parts seller who doesn't want anything shipped back and doesn't honor anything they wrote in the listing.
