Post alternator R&R checklist...
Hooray, finally enough posts to make my own thread.
I just changed my alternator over the weekend using a few of the guides on this site. Thanks a ton guys, i never would have been brave enough to take the A/C comp off without seeing how easy it is. Im just so terrified to put any undue pressure on those hoses. haha
Anyway...the only real snag in my job (besides needing to run to the parts store for a crows foot wrench for the f!%#ing tensioner pulley) was that all of the bolts on my belly pan either broke or twisted off the plastic.
My question is...besides the obvious of water spray potentially damaging things up there...is that thing really needed? I suspect i should have it...so, any ideas on how to get that thing attached again? Drill some small holes and use zip ties maybe?
thoughts?

Problems with the Tensioner after an alternator removal!
Hi All!, my first post here, well the last weekend I spend like 5 hours trying to change my alternator, finally on this last monday (05/19/10) I did it, and start again to re-connect everything (btw the cable in the A/C compressor cut it from the connector and i need to figure out how to fix it, any help will be very appreciatted?), well I reattach everything, alternator, compressor put in place the belt, and when i start to tighten the tensioner (clockwise) i just got tired to "tighten" and I start to do it again in the counterclockwise, and I can not tight the tensioner for the belt pulley, can please someone let me know the right direction to tighten the tensioner, please!
Thanks
