Continuity check between O2 sensor harness and ECM

I have Code P0150. I'm trying to check the harness to make sure its working before i buy a new O2 sensor. The Mitchell program said:

"Turn ignition off, disconnect front left o2 sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector. Using an ohmeter check for continuity."

I have an Ohmmeter, but my wires are too short to meet under the dash from infront of the engine, where the o2 sensor is located

...lol am i misreading something??

use some wires to extend the meter leads...

or short each sensor wire to ground and measure it that way...

remove positive from battery first obviously
