I dont think there is an all season Nitto tire... I wouldn't even consider them since I need something all season since it snows in NY.
when you say 325$ mounted and balanced, this is in what size? On which rim? If it's for a 16" stock SE rim, that would be around 80-82 bucks each, sounds pretty good. Look around some places on the net, like tirerack.com, tires.com etc.. and compare prices, however, even if it's cheaper on the net by 10$ per tire, I'd still go with that deal since when u will have to pay additional 40-70$ to get them balanced and mounted + shipping, so it's a bigger hassle and will end up costing you the same if not more.
which reminds me... It's about time for me to put some tires on my damn rims.

I have em'.
I like em'. Someone posted a while back that nittos are invlolved in more accidents than any other performance tire. Kinda disturbing, unless its cause of the popularity?. Or maybe they are racing in the snow?
I like mine, they feel locked to the road.

I second that, but my tires are about 2 months old….and they suck in the rain.

Don't get them.
I have them on my daily beater. Thread wear is worse than stock. Both wet/dry grip is really NOT good.

you want long lasting low profile high performance tires.. you look at Nittos..
best thing is to go to www.tirerack.com and look at their ratings.. and see what works best for you

Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP
Check out the following tire @ tirerack.com
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/firestone/fs_sz50_ep.jsp
Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP (EP for Extended Performance)
-It is a summer tire, so if you need a "snow" rating, this may not be the tire for you, but if not, this tire kicks serious butt. It's also a bit more expensive than the Nitto, but word is, you get what you pay for.
Specifically, look at the survey results. This is one of the highest rated tires in it's class across the boards. (I've done all the research already - if I don't end up buying wheels&tires used, these are the replacements I'm going with on my OE wheels).
Also, I have a friend who has had two sets of these on his Camaro Z28 & swears by them for both wet & dry grip - very confidence inspiring & he drives HARD.
I've had great experiences dealing w/ tirerack.com, but if you prefer to deal with a local shop to keep your business all in one place/keep it simple, find a local Firestone shop & tell them you want this specific tire & would like to give them your business: 4-tire mount & balance, 4-wheel alignment, etc., but you want them to match the tirerack pricing on the tires (they will ask/charge much more).
They'll say: "Yeah, but if you order them through tirerack.com, you have to pay to have them shipped."
You say: "Yeah, but if I order them through you, I have to pay sales tax, so it nets out about even for me, so really, it doesn't matter to me whether I order them through tirerack or get them from you - I just thought you might be interested in booking the tire sale for your shop." (99% of the store managers out there will take this deal, as long as you appeal to their business sense & aren't snotty about it).
(Tirerack's prices are still well above the Firestone store's "cost" for the tire), so they will still make $ off the tire sale, just not as much as off the guy who walks in willing to pay whatever's being asked.
When you compare the numbers and see how much the store was originally asking for the tire, you'll get an idea how much their markup is. It's scary how much $ they make off you if you don't negotiate.
Anyway, good luck!
