The Blue or Pink Wire?

Hi,

In my non-bose speaker system, there are two wires going to my speakers via the harness, the blue and pink wire...which one is the negative?

Thanks

get a ohm reader and it should tell you. It's a great investment.

The only way is to check the FSM. An ohm reader is worthless for speakers as the polarity changes back and forth.

You have 2 wires going to your speakers or speaker? If speakers then I have no clue...Its 2 wires per speaker.

The terminal on the speaker itself should be marked with a + and - or sometimes its just one of them.

In any case:

Enjoy.

Thanks OC..yes it's 2 wires per speaker. I checked the speakers and harness and there is no indication of a + or -

Funny that the other rear speakers has 2 different colored wires..can't remember right now since I'm at work.

I'll study the diagram given.

Right Rear (+) Blue Right Rear (-) Pink

Also reversing polarity shouldn't kill your system, it will just make your speaker cone move the opposite direction of what it should, and it wouldn't sound right (out of phase / reversed polarity, etc).

Thanks... Pink is the negative.

Cashoit: The speakers that I just bought, the harness doesn't quite fit, the terminals are about 1 inch apart, so I need to clip the wires or get an extender.
