How many of you have your EGR blocked off?

Just curious as to what kind of mileage your getting with it blocked off. Mod list is in my Sig and ive got mine blocked as well (from my 00vi) and im getting about 21mpg with 50% city and 50% highway driving

Mine is blocked also haha, and I am getting 24 MPG with granny style driving.

But to be honest the EGR is a emissions thing and having it blocked it not a bad thing and having it open really isn't a good thing or a bad thing. All it does it cool down your combustion chamber by injecting exhaust gas which does nothing back into the cylinders to keep NOx down.

ah okay thats what I figured...i know a nissan master tech and he told me the EGR are virtually worthless and nissan would have been better off not to put them on their cars just because of the hassle to clean them and take them off and it was purely for emissions...I was only curious

I got a P0400 code yesterday. 90K miles. I am getting about 23-25mph highway 22mpg city.

^haha we mean with blockoff plates, not with carbon hah.

blocked for almost 2 years. gas mileage went up.
i got about 26MPG highway and city.

My EGR ruptured at 107k miles.

I thought a rock got kicked up and punctured an exhaust pipe when it happened but the hole turned out to be on the cast iron part of the valve. I'm not sure what could have caused that. I have a hard time believing a rock did that.
