11 or 12 axles!!

What the F*** are you doing that you would destroy 11 axles in 2 years?? If your pulling hole shots, what do you expect. Duralast are not the best agreed, but normal driving condtions will not kill 11 axles in that time, NO WAY! Buy a quality axle and you won't have that problem. Cardone have worked well for me, you get brand for good price. Good Luck

OK good to know, I need to replace my right side axel soon since its clicking. I'll probably just go OEM since they always seem to last longer.

Cancel that, went to the dealer to get a price, they wantes about $600 for one axel. The parts guy recomended the ones from NAPA so thats what I must do.

If you didn't get your axle yet, consider Rock Auto A-1 cardone, brand new units for really good price. I work on a lot of different cars and these are real nice units.

Good Luck

^give it some time, my DSS axles are now slinging grease....ill go back to GSP axles especially since they have lifetime warranty opposed to Napa's BS about 'well the boot cant bust that quick in 3 months' BS *** that

IMHO get GSP, lifetime warranty, granted, if you are low enough, any and every set of axles will sling grease (cant speak on Raxles), but w/ that said, just run GSP or autozone lifetime axles

just went through 3 autozone new axles on one side in one week!

#1 pushed out of the tranny thought it was something i did wrong until we compared it to the original i removed and 3 more at the store we used a caliper in autozone and all were a bit different!!! (area with the splines)

#2 the inner cup pulled a part so i said **** it and cut the boot returned that SOB (saw others with the same issue here)

#3 after comparing like 4 more axles at two autozones i picked one that was the closest match to org. we will see how long it lasts!

courtesynissan has our axles for like $140 i think. I had to get the car back up and running for my wife but i would just pay and get the real thing. all these china parts are killing us!

I've put maybe 12k miles in the past 3 years on my i30 and still have the GSP axle. Of course it's been over 3 years since I purchased them from advance so they no longer have the record. I've noticed they're feeling looser and I can duplicate the thunk just by using my foot shove the top of the tire while in park.

Is this noise just a nuisance or am I going to get stuck somewhere?

I'm thinking about buying new cardone select axles from rockauto at $40 a pop and replace my balljoint while I'm at it, but wanted to know what you guys think.

Honestly ive been working at advance for a few months now and ive never had any1 come in and complain nor have to replace a gsp axle and thats the major axle that all advances stock. I just put them on also about 500 miles ago.

Also if your car is lowered alot it could be putting extra stress on it.

GSP axles are fine, fact of the matter is, maximas arent designed to be slammed...they are great axles for stock. they have a lifetime warranty, so whenever you bust a boot, just take it in for a replacement adn call it a day. only way to fix it from busting boots is raising the car back up.

Other than swapping in kyb gr2s, I'm bone stock. Is there a way I could take it in and swapped without a record in the system?

I think I'm just going to buy a Raxle. I'd rather save myself the hassle.

Raxles are better than OEM IMO. The things are bullet proof and you can honestly sell them used once you are done with your car and still get a good price. Now once you get over about 350WHP and you are slammed then no axel will last you so there is no point in getting good axels

Cover it with plastic wrap? Are you serious? How long do you think that would last? A week? If they havemt been torn for long then pop it off, clean it up, new grease, and put on a new boot. IF it has been that way for a while then you need a new axle and likely 2 because the other is probably torn as well
