power steering leak
That ps U-shaped hose in the radiator is leaking, and it's getting all over the lower radiator/engine support beam...is this **** corrosive? I read mixed reviews. this is the same ps fluid I've had since buying the car back in '03.
Get that U-shaped line replaced since its leaking. Once you change it, get a hose and wash it off. I am pretty sure your condenser can use the washing off with the bugs that's on it anyways.
He is probably referring to the aluminum piece that goes out to the front of the condenser. Other than that, there is no other hose going out there for PS fluid.
Its not corrosive. Mine has been leakin for months. Replaced the clamps, still leaking. Ima try replacing the hoses with new ones. If that dont work i might replace the entire line or i may jus bypass the entire cooling line at the reservoir. I PM'd a fellow member who has done this, 3 yrs no issues.
Thanks asand1.
I just changed the rubber hose with a new one, tightened the clamps all the way, and it still leaks! It's crazy hot outside and working in the heat is taxing. I am starting to wonder if the leak is coming from the metal hose like if it has a crack or something..if it is the metal hose then I'd have to just bypass the stupid cooler attempt that nissan tried making. If it does cool the fluid it could only be 2 degrees at most.
