clutch issue

clutch issue

I recently just changed the clutch in my 97 maxima and it engages fine. But if i go past like 3k rpms it starts slipping. It doesnt slip bad but i can definatly feel it. Did i do something wrong? what could be causing this?

how many miles have u gone since installation.? Did you break in the clutch properly.?

new clutch shdnt be slippin at all. How was condition of flywheel? Where u get clutch from?

it was heat scored and then i took it to get resurfaced and the guy said he had to do it by hand cause the machine was messed up and i got it from Napa

is the clutch aligned properly? did everything get bolted down as it should have been? what brand clutch is it and how hard do you drive? i know no matter how hard you drive a new clutch it shouldnt slip btu you need to take quality into consideration...

did you replace the pressure plate, fly wheel? Did you check their condition?,Is your upper oil pan gasket leaking ? oily clutch

Yes i aligned it properly and i torqued it down to specs. Not sure i got it from napa as an oem replacement. i dont drive hard but when i was testing it out as full throttle it began to slip like at about 3k rpm

so its oem not performance then....thats your problem LOL...nah im just kidding, id say check your plugs anything that causes hesitation...it could be something else went bad and you just got bad timing....coinsciedence i guess...check all your parts you removed in the process

If said "Dude" did it by hand, then its not "proper" and you have a sh!tty flywheel surface.
