need help vaccum leak or coils?

My max started off with the rpm getting stuck at around 1700 at idle. I would have to
Shut off the car and start it again then it would be fine and at random maybe 2 mins or
Maybe 3 days later it would do it again. Now it idles rough like 65 percent of the time
And still gets stuck around 1700 occasionally sometimes ill tap the gas and turn my wheel
And it will drop back to atound 700 then it will bounce around from 600 to 500 rpm and idle violently I hope I explained this good lol.

To me it seems like a vaccum but I can't find it

Thanks in advance

if you could make a video it would help alot. now... does it sound like a v8 with a cam? that is the sound of a vacuum leak im not to sure what a bad coil sounds like, i never had to replace one, but im sure if it was a coil the idle would always be low and you would have a hard start. the best place to start is to get a vacuum gage slam it on the manifold and at idle it should be anywhere from 14hg to 20hg. vacuum leaks are loud. unless you have a ridiculously loud intake or a s/c you could hear it. but as of right now these are just suggestions i cant really diagnose it until i hear it. any codes?

Have u tried cleaning TB & MAF per the how-tos. Clean TB sounds like the fix to me.

+1, also could be intermittant IAC. Vacuum leaks will generally NOT be intermittant, motor will always idle high. Also check TPS.

The coils aren't gonna make you idle high either.
