Auto Satrter Won't Stop?
Well I can start my car no problem with me remote starter(factory). But before if applied pressure to the brakes it wold turn off, but now there is now way of stopping it. I can even put the car in the on position with the key, and then turn the key off pull it out and it's still on. The only way to turn it off is for it to timeout, or to turn it off the same way I turned it on using the remote. Just worried that if I do start it using the remote, that once I'm driving it may timeout while I'm on the road. Could this happen? And what could be wrong? Also what is a possible solution? Thanks,

Check the wire thats tapped into the brake switch. Sounds like it's not getting the signal that you stepped on the brake.
How is your remote hooked up? Do you have seperate remote for the auto start or did the shop configure it to run off your factory remote? (2 lock pulses starts the car)
If it's on the factory remote (2 pulses of lock) just hit the door lock switch 2x and the auto start will turn off once your in the car with key in ignition.
BTW - This works great if your washing the car or need to roll down windows without the remote. Just hit the lock 2x, car starts and you have access to all power accessories.

Brake switch?
I have a factory remote, and starter. It's a 98 Maxiam SE. Where is the brake switch located, is it by the glove box I hear like a click, every time I apply pressure on the brake. Thanks for the other tip though, I didn't know that.

The brake light switch is by the brake pedal. BUT if your hearing the click - then it sounds like it's getting the brake signal but not processing it.
Could be a relay gone bad in the system or the brain on the remote start just isn't processing it correctly. I'm outta ideas now.

I thought it was the funniest thing in the world when my friend pulled up in his car and handed me the keys and said, "hold on one sec" and drove away....when he came back he was like "don't people usually need keys to drive?" His brake wire got disconnected and he went to the mall, pulled out the key, closed the door and still heard the car running...
