Has Anyone Tried Custom Maxima's Own CatBack Exhaust??

Custom Maxima didn't take to long, about a week with the regular shipping/handling option, well worth the wait.

There is a small piece of channel that runs between the sides of the tunnel on the fourth gen uni-body. That dent was put there on purpose to clear that piece. It is very slight, and probably won't effect the flow of the exhaust much, unless yours is unreasonably pronounced.

when talking about flow, you have to consider the cross sectional area, and how fast the shape of the pipe changes. It's not like there is a sharp change in shape in the pipe, its should be a rather gradual change in the cross section if the dent is shaped like i think it is. The pipe is what, 2.5 inches? It should be fine for everything except the most extreme N/A applications, or high boost F/I ones. I would wager 5 dollars that if you put that exhaust on the car with the dent (as long as its as minor as I think it is) and went to a dyno, you could not see any difference vs. the same exhaust without the small dent.

An older thread but I'm curious, has anyone installed the Ebay cat back /w a stock 4th or 5th gen muffler to kill the raspy noise. Better yet does anyone have a sound clip of a full exhaust y-pipe to muffler.
I like the price on the Ebay cat-back and I already have a SS y-pipe installed but should I buy the catback I want to keep the ricer/ bee's in a can sound to nil. Throwing this out there, I listened to a Boral muffler on a 5th gen sound clip on the tube which sounded hot but it could just be the 3.5L making the cool sound

last night I put on a y-pipe, I have to say I love the new lower exhaust note. I want to push it to the next level with a free flow muffler. I really like the sound Borla's give on the max.

Give it about 3 weeks or so, take the silencer out, the exhaust will be broken in and have a nice deep tone. Idk if youll feel the little bit of power it adds since your just running the axle back, but if you put the full cat back on it gives it a tiny bit of power
