My wipers stop wipeing

Not the time to be without wipers in Boston, so this sucks. I was driving with the wipers on when out of no where I hear what sounds like a bolt falling on metal, then my wipers stop wipeing. I hear the wiper motor going but the arms are not moving.

If you can still hear movement from the mechanism, then chances are the reasons your wipers aren't wipING = the rods/transmission that links the wipers to the motor is shot. I replaced both of mine in about 20-30 minutes and it was about $17 for one and $14 for the other at my local Nissan dealership.

Columbianmax is correct. This just happened to me recently and it was an easy fix. Its most likely the plastic dome clip is worn out on the rod that connects from the motor to the rod that moves the wipers. Damn thats confusing.

Just got done fixing it ghetto style. With 2 tie wraps I was able to connect the rod to the wiper arm.
