Little Modifcation i did on my '95 max with the front lights
I always wondered why nissan never had both of the front corner and front blinker lights be on all the time, Instead they only have the corner turn lights on all the time and the front lights turns on only when you signal...Well this sorta ****ed me off, i wanted to be different, so what i did i hooked up an extra light bulb and inserted into the front light signal light, So now my front turn signal stays on and so does the corner light, looks soo much nicer now that i got all clear lenses around and the whol side is lit up
Re: Little Modifcation i did on my '95 max with the front lights
you're not the first, but there is a better way. you can use a two-way light socket and splice some wires. there's an FAQ around somewhere.
what I would like is to have the corner pieces of the headlights to be bright all the time (like when you use the turn signals).

how to do what dbk wants
heres how i did it. There are three wires, two colored wires and a black one. i switched the two colored wires. then its always bright, the brighter filament is burning. how most other members of the org have done is sand down the 2 little nubs on the bottom of the bulb. same thing. do a search, that should turn up a lot.

My corner(parking)lamps are equally as bright as my hyperwhite halogen bulbs. I think its an 1157 and you shave off 1 nub so its like the high beams are always on on the corners only. Or is it an 1156? Its been so long since ones burnt out(which can be the only problem).

I have a 95 SE. Even with hyperwhite bulbs in the corner it didn't match up well to my headlights. So I did the "clip the nub" trick on the corner bulbs (1157) and it looks great. The corners are on all the time at 27w. So they are always bright.

Around the body of the metal part of the bulb at the bottom, there are 2 tiny obtruding nipples. One is on the opposite side of the other one. One is also a little lower (closer to the bottom) then the other one. If you file/shave down the top one (i think it's the top, not 100% positive) you can now put the bulb in backwards, turning it the opposite way, so the lower nipple can now go into the socket of the higher one. The light will be a lot brighter...
