You can de-badge all the lettering off the trunk and there won't be any holes.

Easiest way is to heat up the glue on the letters by using a heat gun or a hair dryer, then taking a piece of fishing line and running it through the glue. Then you can take the rest of the glue off with your finger nails, use some goo gone, then polish and wax the area. Done.

easiest way still IIRC is to use fishing line to get the badge off, then goo-gone to remove any residue, and wax after. i dont know 4th gens well but IIRC there are no trunk holes

just be careful with a 4th gen though, paint fades over the years and the paint where the badge was may be a different colour than the rest of the car

I used dental floss, 3M adhesive remover and a hair dryer. Followed with elbow grease and polish to make it look pretty

that doesnt sound like a good idea at all. I debadged my maxi, but the paint underneath is darker, so you can still read maxima. IMO, keep the maxima logo. Im contemplating buying a new logo because my old one was corroded and ugly (the reason i debadged) GL, hope my advice helped

when i bought my maxima, i found the maxima emblem and nissan logo brand new in the trunk and did'nt even think about leaving it off. i did'nt find it though until i went right to the dealer and bought them both new. like 22.00 for " maxima" and another 8.00 for the "nissan" burger. when i opened the trunk lid to install, i decided to look around and they where brand new in dealer bag in spare tire area. i was like, sweet, now i can return these to dealer. woot...

mines a 95 and when I debadged it all I did was wax the **** outta my trunk to get the paint to match. Did you try that? Maybe some polish too?

After I debadged my trunk, to get my paint to match I had to use rubbing compound followed by a good waxing, with a mothers ball on a 18 volt drill. I tried waxing three times to get the paint to match and it did not work. That's when I used rubbing compound followed by wax and it worked great. Hope this helps anyone who's going to debadge their trunk.

I've seen a couple debadged trunks and I can't say I'm fond of the look on this car for some reason, I think it's the big blank panel between the tails that just looks like it's in need of something.
I have seen quite a few kick azz looking Maxy's though and can't say the overall package looks bad when done well.

Your opinion is all that matters in the end anyway, so enjoy!
