maybe im not understanding you, the one on the timing cover is the CAMSHAFT sensor...it reads the camshaft. Then of course theres the two crankshaft sensors.

Ok, are you using the 3.0 upper oil pan? or is it a full 3.5 setup?

3.5 swap. 3.0 timing, ecu, upper oil pan all sensors from my 3.0 which all were working before the swap.

problem is i went with the 6spd tranny so i had to grind down the stock 6spd timing ring to imitate the 5spd timing ring. i grinded down the timing ring so it had the same amount of teeth as the 5spd therefore the cps sensor would read it correctly. did a pretty damn good job making the teeth match. but the faulty cps sensor reading would cause all my problems. No spark No fuel = No start

ok so i had a thought talking to a fellow member. while removing the crank bolt on the 3.0 i had to heat it up so that ruined the 3.0 pully. so i just put on the 3.5 crank pully. looking at them they seemed pretty identical but now with the car not firing this could be the problem. can anyone tell me how far away the cps sensor needs to be and what indincators it uses on the pully to read TDC

well........

the car started!!!!

forgot to pulg some stuff on the inside. and the crank pulley needed to be swapped out but man what a sound!!!

tach doesnt work but speedo does. i have no check engine light on (weird) and my fuel pump still needs to be figured out. had a slight coolant leak where that coolant drain is at for the waterpump. dont know why it was leaking but glad its from there.

car is coming along great man. as for the retro i would say its a personal preference. a single is great enough as long as you have the right projector in there. a dual setup IMO just looks a hell of a lot better in R34s because of the divided chambers...but thats just me.

I was thinking dual as well. As of now I only have my TL projectors. Just want something cheap for the high beams.

Tint level I can't really explain. I spray tinted them with a clear coat and added black then the inside of the lights are black as well so umm dark ha idk man

More pics! I'd love to see full body shots and what not.

F'in amazing job man! Looks really, really good under the hood.

Why not lay the black cf on the center instead of the white? And how about burple instead of white for the accents like around the window switches?

Are you driving it yet? Are you gonna leave the rims white?

Aha looks like I've got some competition then! I'm also doing something I've never seen done on a retro for a Max before. And something special for my fogs too..

You could have done the headlights for pretty cheap actually. Would have saved yourself the shipping/labor charges but let's keep the OT talk out of this thread lol.

anybody can play lol pretty sure we are all going to have something hella custom. mine is pretty simple with the headlights.

i thought about doing that with the white center part but i think ill just leave it black.

the white accents match my white wheels and yes im keeping them white cause it the only color i like with the burple other then some ballin SSR wheels.

so im thinking about making a hood like this for my max. obviously no tow hook lol i just think our hoods would look better with something raised up in the middle to make it a bit more agressive

Ive always wanted a hood with a raised center, even more so with functioning cowl induction.
