Installing Guage Bezel

Could anyone please help me out with instructions on how to get to the guages on a 4th gen. I have a 95 SE and want to install an aluminum guage bezel. Just need a little help on where all the screws are to get to the guages.
Thanks in advance!

goto MaximaDriver.com and go under How2's and then look at the link for installing colored gauge faces. I know you're not installing gauge faces, but all of the instructions are the same till you have to get to the gauges themselves.

Re: Installing Guage Bezel

First you need to take off the kick panel below the steering wheel. Then take off the casing around the ignition area. Then put the steering wheel at the lowest point and start removing the bezel area. don't forget the 2 screws that point upwards near the intrument panel. Or follow the above post.

According to Haynes manual, after top two screws are out, the bottom side is clip held, just grab and force it outwards, correct? I tried but seems very tight. So I didn't pop it out.

i did this simply but carefully, didnt remove any major panels,
1. undo screws in gauge area (up top)
2. remove screws (1 per side) behind the black switches
3. put the steering wheel to the bottom
4. slowly and carefully bend and turn the black piece around the gauges and pull it off, i know u will feel like its gunna break, be extra careful
5. pull out gauge assembly slightly, remove plastic clear clips holding on the cover
6. you have access now, put it on
7. put cover back on and put gauges back into place
8. reinsert black plastic surrounder
9. replace all screws, the ones behind the switches arent exactly easy
10. fix steering wheel
11. enjoy

What are "black switches"? Power window control switch on left side, and gauge light dim control on right side of steering wheel? I guess so but just want to make sure they are.
Thanks RedMax95 for your detailed writeup.

ya, those are the ones, i popped them out, and i think the screw was behind the one closest to the steering wheel on each side, also you need a deep socket or a long screwdriver to get them out, and putting the screws back on may be difficult, there is a completed pic on my site, though im sure u will see for yourself soon enough, btw for the bezel itself its just like a dash kit, and the mileage reset i your guide so that you get it on straight

Maybe my last question just to make sure. If I only want to take out the black gauge surounder and the transparent cover in front of the gauge, not the whole gauge assembly, do I have to remove those two screws behind black switches? I want to get access to the black surface in the area between speedometer and tachometer, for adding my own "PRND21" indicator (not seriously, just thinking some day I'll do it)
Thanks again. BTW your car looks much shinnier than mine.
