What maintenance to do?
What maintenance to do?
Car has 92k miles. What maintenance should be done to ensure it's a reliable dd?
I plan on doing the belts (not how many belts there are) and thermostat and checking the hoses and fixing my oil leak.
But does anyone ever do water pumps on these cars or only when they fail? What else should I check?

What has been done to the car to date?
We can't give you maintenance advice without knowing what your maintenance schedule has been for the past 92K miles.
At 92K, nothing is needed on my schedule.
Why would you change the t-stat? Do you have a lack of heat? Car running cold?
Water pumps don't tend to fail often on our cars. 175,000 on mine, buddy of mine had over 250,000 on his.
Do check your belts, if they are original it's probably time to replace them.

All I know is the struts were replaced and front rotors/pads. I always tend to do rotors/pads/belts/tstat on every car I buy just to be on the safe side.
I'll have to talk with the previous owner to see what all was done.

I would personally start with fluids. check for any leaks and take care of that, than change all fluids. Oil, trans, p/s, radiator... if those are good to go than move on to filters. fuel and air filter. at 92k you should not need a water pump nor t-stat these car hold up very well if taking care of. 92k is very low miles for any nissan. Next check your coils and injectors and move on from there.
It has a cone filter which is clean, the maf was cleaned. The tb/iac was cleaned I know that for sure.
What are common things that leak or to check for?
Also I was told the fuel filters are lifetime with no maintenance, any truth to that?

Maintenance schedule is included in the factory service manual. Do a SEARCH.
If u jus got the car here is what i wd do:
Inspect brake pads/rotors and/or replace
Replace ECTS, Air Filter, PCV, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs, Tranny Fluid, Engine Coolant, & Motor Oil.
Clean TB/MAF
Upgrade to yellowtop battery.
U dont have to worry about the timing chain, water pump, Tstat unless there is a problem.

No need for a yellow top battery, I'm not running anything crazy for electronics. Car is bone stock.
What is ECTS?
I have a redtop sitting around I may throw in but that is for the race car.

I already replaced the MAF, cleaned out the carbon filled egr tube, cleaned out the iacv, replaced the evap canister and removed any charcoal in lines but you still may need the evap purge valve that's connected to the canister under the driver rear wheel. Belt was squeaking sometimes but IMO the belt looks good it may just need to be tightened it looked like the guy who had it before me replaced it but didn't tighten it right. Everything else is good bro trust me you don't need to change the t-stat the heat is excellent. The only thing that I was going to change next was the rear rotors and calipers because the rotors were beginning to rust so I think the calipers are seized possibly. You may change the fuel filter if you want its simple remember I showed it to you just remove and replace. Good luck!
