is there any way i can repaint my front bumper myself to bring back the shine? i have the gold color on my 97 gxe, not sure of the exact name.

wet-sand it with 320 or 360 grit sand paper, just enought to get the clear coat off. then go buy some paint and rent a spray gun (hope you have an air compressor). tape off the rest of the car or take the bumper off, paint it, then put it back on

might want to blend the areas near the bumper, because it's a 97, and it has been exposed to the sun for over three years, tehrefore it may have faded slightly, and will look rather weird because the bumper will look extraordinarily shiny compared to the rest of the car, so if you blend it, things will look normal...........just my 0.02

thanks to both of you. i think i might wait til spring and get the bumper profesionaly painted cuz im too scared im gonna mess something up. thanks anyways though

If you are going to be driving it in the winter, i would wait because the salt/sand on the road will chip it really quick and that wont make you happy since you just spent all that time/money on it.
