Put it this way... anything stock is ugly, but the maxima is one of the only 4 door's out there that looks decent with even only minor modification's!

The Tl Type-S looks awesome with it's body kit and spoiler stock, M5,

 

I think you're right on the M5...although its a bit bland (we see its inner beauty ).

The TLs is definitely too plain even with the body kit stock, so I disagree there...of course, I am biased. If I thought it looked better, I probably would have bought it instead of the Maxima.

The Viper looks pretty nice stock...a nice Modena looks good stock.

Maybe its better to say that most $30K (give or take $5K) cars don't look so great stock...because I can put together quite a list of the six-figure babies that look perfect right off the assembly line.

 

He said 4-door cars. And he's right, there aren't that many 4-door cars that look good.

My fault. Yeah, I guess on 4-doors...I don't have much to say other than support your call on the M5. Although I think the Lincoln LS (black-on-black) looks pretty good stock as well (maybe not sporty as the Max, but certainly agressive and classy).

This is an interesting chat and I must admit that I was looking very seriously at puchasing a 4th gen. maxima, that was until a friend if mine revealed that he is gay (came out).He said that the maxima is probably the most popular vehicle in San Francisco! I did not know which to be more shocked over, the car or my friends coming out!Needless to say I did not buy a Maxima and went for a Pick up truck instead
