Good Bye and Good Luck
Good Bye and Good Luck
Just a quick note to all the folks in the 4th Gen forum that I have officially handed off my 1996 Maxima SE a few months ago to my niece. She's a great gal and really needed a reliable ride, and I was ready for a change. I had no problems passing along my 14 year old car with over 150,000 miles on the clock to a young girl and telling her that it was the most reliable car she could wish for. I had owned it since July 17, 1996 and enjoyed every minute of it.
I want to extend a heart felt "Thank You" to all the members of this form and the moderators who do such a great job. You guys are what it's all about and have made owing such an awesome machine a great thrill. I've replaced it with a BMW M5 to satisfy my rear wheel drive itch. I have to say, though, that spending a lot of time on the BMW forums, maxima.org is MUCH better. The members here are more respectful and much more helpful. The BMW sites seem to have a lot of folks who just talk about their cars, but don't actually do anything...or frankly, know how to work on them.
So, again, thank you all for making this a great site. The M5 is a great ride, but it's not built to make it to 150,000 miles. I'm sure I'll be back in a Maxima in a few years & will begin scanning this forum for more great advice.
Sincerely,
Ron

I was thinking about an M5 in the future.
Is it seriously that bad? What kind of problems do they have? ITB's
