Im trying to take this bolt off myself and, just to verify, in what direction should the bolt on the HB be turned in order to loosen it. Also, if I use air tools, how much power I need from the compressor in order to loosen it up.

The bolt needs to be turned counter clockwise. If you don't have big enough air tools use a breaker bar against the floor AHEAD of the crank shaft, or the sub-frame BEHIND the crankshaft and bump the starter.

I tried it several times and it was a no go. Do I take my car off the brakes to do this?

What have you tried, and what has been the result? The video I posted always works for me. Don't waste your time trying to hold the balancer from turning.

The torque wrench plus engine crank was tried several times and now it wont crank all the way. Battery is dead. Tried electric impact gun, we will try something more powerful tomorrow hopefully
