YouTube Vid: How to remove transmission 95-99 Maxima

This guy makes it look so easy, basically the car took itself apart while he was filming it and watching kids.

I need to school myself on auto tranny removal since i might have little project coming up soon. Question: Will auto tranny from 96 Maxima bolt right into 98 Infiniti I30 without any issues or rewiring?

Yep this vid is rather helpful. i'm tearing out an auto tranny from a junked car (engine problems) to replace it into my car. And the times in that vid a little on the short side. It took me about an hour just to get to the point where the starter was out. So, airbox, snorkel, battery, all the wires and the starter.

Next day (sunday) Jacking up the car and taking out the axels and the tranny.

One question, does the center beam need to be removed in order to take out the tranny?

I think your talking about the crossmember beam that has the two engine mounts one that's near the radiator and the other one is near the firewall. If your removing the auto tranny by the shop lifts you don't have to remove the crossmember beams, but if your doing it with the engine hoist then, yes

I need to tackle this in the spring hopefully. These videos were amusing especially his explanations, but good videos. At least he did figure out where the "leftover" bolts go.
