235-55-16 Too big for a stock 4th gen?

Well i got an awesome deal today... i got a set of 4 brand tires for my girlfriends maxima, tire size 235-55-16 all for $85 bucks!!! they have under 100 miles on them, i got them off off craigslist from a guy parting out a Pontiac trans am that was wrecked. he was asking $250 for them, chewed him down to $85 hahaha. my question is will they fit the 4th gen stock SE wheels without rubbing? i put it up to the tires on the car and they seem to be 1.5-2" taller and the side wall is noticeably larger. the stock size is 215-55-16.. does anybody maybe have a pic so i can see if they look to big and goofy before i swap them. any hep is appreciated!

You should have enough clearance. I think the limit is 245 and then you will start to hear rubbing on splash guards.

the bigger tires will also contribute to a little bit of a speedometer error, reading about 2.7% slow. When the speedo reads 65 mph, you are doing 66.75 mph.

235/45/16 don't exist so 225/50/16 is your best choice as stated^^^^^^^ +1
