Looking at a 97 SE 5 spd.

Does anyone know if $8500 is a good price for a 97 SE 5spd with 100k miles, bose system, and leather interior? The car looks to be in good condition paint and body wise, with a side molding pulled up a bit.. what do you guys think, should I go for it?

Dealership... kinda.. not one of those real Nissan dealerships, a small one.. I'd definetely get it inspected before I bought it, but it seems real nice..

YES, thats a very good price, but expect it to need a new clutch.

yeah thats an awesome price. is this at some place like "mike's auto sales", the dealerships that are formed by putting a bunch of used cars in their front yard? definitely make sure you have it checked out by a pro. if it checks out then hop on that.

Okay thanks for the tips guys, yeah it's that kind of place, it actually mainly sells trailer hitchs I think, only a few cars were there, so I'll definetely get it checked out by my cousin first, but yeah I was lookin at the KBB values, and I think it's a bit higher than what you got Nickstam.. I did it and got 13.5 for dealership, 10.5 for private party... anyway thanks for the advice guys, I can't wait to get this badboy!

Yes, be very careful here. Go to Carfax.com it should show up there if it is from out of state. If it does then be cautious. I understand that a car titled as Salvage can be re-titled without the Salvage designation in another state. Running a Carfax report is money well spent anyway.
